We are over here in Basudebpur, right by Shankar Das’s house. It is a quiet village in Midnapore. Most people around here know where the handloom work happens. We focus on making clothes using the old looms. It’s not a big fancy office or anything like that. Just some local folks working together in the village. It gets really hot in the afternoons but the work goes on anyway. The address is right in the village, very close to the post office. We are a producer company, which basically means the people making the stuff are part of the group. Sometimes it is hard to coordinate everyone, but we manage somehow. It’s just how things are here in West Bengal. We try to stay busy. There are a few local families involved. It’s good to have work right here in the village instead of going to the city.
