Asthaa Navnirman Social Welfare Foundation

We are based in Chakdwipa, which is part of the Bhabanipur police station area in Haldia. Our office is set up at Shyama Pada Dolai’s place. It’s a familiar spot for anyone living around this part of Purba Medinipur. We’ve been operating Asthaa Navnirman Social Welfare Foundation from here for some time now. Haldia is a busy place with all the industry, but our corner in Chakdwipa is a bit more grounded. The office is pretty basic. We have some tables, a few cupboards for our files, and a lot of people coming by to discuss local matters. It isn't a corporate setup at all. We just use what we have and focus on getting things done. The weather here can be quite tough, especially the humidity, so we usually have the fans going full blast. We don't spend money on fancy decorations or expensive furniture. That’s not what we’re about. We are just local people working in our own community. Most of us grew up around here, so we know the shortcuts and the families in the neighborhood. If you’re looking for us, just ask for the Dolai house in Chakdwipa. We’re usually there during the day, unless we’re out on a site visit. It’s a simple operation, run by people who live right here in the area. We just take things one day at a time.
