Perkin Laboratories

We are located at Plot No 94, right in the middle of the Industrial Estate on Survey No 847. It’s a quiet building compared to the heavy manufacturing shops next door. Inside, we have a lot of counters and shelves filled with glass bottles and different testing equipment. The air usually smells a bit like chemicals, but we keep the vents running all day. It’s important to stay focused because the work we do involves a lot of small measurements. We spend a lot of time looking at charts and writing down numbers in our notebooks. It’s not the kind of job where you can rush things. We have a small team here and everyone has their own station. Sometimes it gets a bit cramped when we have a lot of samples coming in at once. We’ve been in this spot for several years and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint. The floors are easy to clean, which is good because we occasionally spill things. We don't have a big sign out front, just the name on the door. People who need us usually know where to find us in the estate. We start the day by cleaning the equipment and checking the calibrations. It’s a repetitive process, but it’s what we do. We don't have any fancy lounge or anything, just a small break area near the back door.
