If you go down to Old Bowenpally, you’ll find Leo Fitness Studio at H No 8-5-73/1. It’s right there in the Medchal area, zip code 500011. The gym isn't one of those shiny places you see in movies with neon lights and fancy machines. We have the basic stuff that actually works—dumbbells, benches, and a few racks that have seen a lot of use. The floor is covered in heavy rubber mats to keep the noise down, but you can still hear the weights clanking from the street sometimes. We open up pretty early because a lot of people want to get their workout in before they go to their jobs. The mirrors are always getting smudged, and the fans are constantly spinning to keep everyone from melting in the heat. I spend a good chunk of my day re-racking weights that people leave lying around. It’s a local crowd, so everyone pretty much knows each other’s names. We talk about the weather or the local news between sets. It’s a simple setup, but it gets the job done for the folks around here. Sometimes the music is a bit too loud, and other times we forget to turn it on at all. It’s just a normal place where people sweat and try to stay a bit healthier. No one here is trying to be a superstar, we’re just regular people working out together in the neighborhood.
