We are set up out in Borampet Village, which is part of the Dundigal Mandal in Medchal District. You can find Lakshmi Ganapathi Coir Industries at Survey No. 32/A. Being out in the village means we have a bit more space than the shops in the city. It’s a dusty kind of work, dealing with coir all day. You can smell the fibers in the air as soon as you get close to the gate. We have a few sheds where we store the raw materials and the finished stuff. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we do. The sounds of the machines are pretty much the soundtrack to our days. We usually have a small crew of workers from the local area. Most of us have been working together for a long time, so we don't need to say much to get things done. The road leading to our place isn't always the best, especially after it rains, but we make it work. We spend a lot of time loading and unloading. It’s physical work and your hands get rough after a while. We don't have a big office or a website or anything like that. People mostly find us by word of mouth or just by seeing our sign out on the road. It’s a quiet life out here away from the main city buzz.
