Jp Enterprises is located at Hno. 2-9 in Laxmi Nagar Colony. This is in Suraram Village, which is part of the bigger Hyderabad area, postcode 500055. It’s a very busy place to have a business. There is always noise from the traffic and people walking by. Our shop is quite small and it’s usually packed with all sorts of things we supply to people in the neighborhood. It’s not a fancy place with a big sign or air conditioning. We just have a ceiling fan that works most of the time. I spend my day sitting at a small desk, taking orders and talking to the people who stop in. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon and it gets really hot, so we just sit outside for a bit until it comes back. We’ve been in this colony for quite a while now. My cousin helps me out when he isn't busy with his own work. The hardest part is getting the deliveries in because the streets in Suraram are so narrow and crowded. You have to be patient. We don't have a big corporate structure or anything like that. It’s just me and whoever is helping that day. We keep the books by hand and try to make sure we don't run out of the items people want. It’s a simple urban business and we like being part of the local community.
