We are tucked away at Plot No 88, 89 and 90. It is out in the Iida area, specifically at Survey No 847. If you ever come by Astha Plywood, the first thing you are going to notice is the smell of wood and glue. It is everywhere and you never really get it out of your clothes. We spend most of our time stacking heavy sheets or cutting them down to size for whoever needs them that day. It is a lot of physical labor, to be honest. My back definitely feels it by the time Friday rolls around, but that is just the nature of the wood business. We have got a good amount of space here across the three plots, which is lucky because plywood takes up a huge amount of room once it starts arriving. Sometimes the big trucks have a hard time backing into the yard because the road gets a bit crowded, especially when the other neighboring shops are busy with their own deliveries. We do not really do much in the way of advertising. People just find us because they need wood for their homes or shops. It gets quite dusty inside, so we are always sweeping up piles of sawdust at the end of every shift. The sun hits the yard pretty hard in the afternoon, so we try to get the heavy loading done early if we can. It is a simple operation. No big corporate meetings happen here, just us figuring out where the inventory goes.
