Cab Travels

We started Cab Travels right here at 1-9-354/9 in Vn Reddy Nagar Colony quite some time ago. It is just a small office where we keep the car keys and the logbooks on a wooden desk. Most days I am either on the phone or sitting at the chair checking the schedules for the drivers. The colony is usually quiet in the afternoons but mornings are a bit of a rush when everyone wants to get to the station or the airport at the same time. We have a few cars parked nearby and we try to keep them clean, though with the dust around here it is a never ending job. I know most of the routes around the city because I used to drive myself before the business got a bit bigger. Now I mostly manage the guys and handle the phone calls. My brother helps out with the accounts when he has time after his regular job. We don’t have any fancy booking system, just a thick notebook and a mobile phone that rings at all hours. Sometimes the drivers get stuck in traffic near the main road and I have to call the customers to explain why they are running late. People here are mostly patient since they know how the traffic can be in this city. We just try to get from one point to another without too much fuss. It is a simple life running a travel desk in this part of town.
