Khandelwal Ceremics is located out in Raj Bollaram Village. We are right by the Mediciti X Roads, at number 53. It’s a bit of a drive to get out here if you are coming from the city, but it’s where we have the space for what we do. Ceramics need a lot of room for the kilns and the storage. The village is usually quiet, but our place is always buzzing with something going on. We have local people from the village working with us. Some of them have been here since we first opened. It’s a hot job because of the ovens, especially in the summer months. We all sweat a lot and drink plenty of water. The office is just a small room off to the side where we keep the records. It’s not very fancy. There’s usually a bit of dust on everything because of the clay we use. We don't mind it much. We spend most of the day making sure the quality is okay and that nothing breaks during the firing. Sometimes things go wrong and we have to start over. That’s just the way it is with ceramics. We don't have any big marketing team or anything like that. We just make the products and send them out. It’s a simple life out here at the crossroads. We work hard, we take our breaks under the trees, and we get the job done.
