Kompally is a bit further out than some of the other business hubs, but we actually like the change of pace here. It’s a bit quieter than the center of the city, though it’s definitely growing fast with new shops and apartments popping up all the time. Our office is basically a converted flat, so it has a very homey and informal feel to it. We have a small kitchen area where we can fix a snack, and the main living space is where we’ve set up most of the workstations. It’s not a huge space, so we’re all pretty close and end up knowing exactly what everyone else is working on. Sometimes we’ll order some food from one of the local spots and just eat together at the main table. The atmosphere is pretty relaxed, and we don’t worry too much about formal stuff. We just focus on getting our work done and helping each other out when someone gets stuck on a problem. The building itself is well-maintained, and there’s usually a bit of a breeze if you stand out by the balcony area. It’s a comfortable, straightforward place to spend the day, and it suits the way we like to operate without any extra fuss or corporate pressure.
