We’re over at Plot No. 68 in Sree Nagar Colony. It’s on West Street No. 3 in Old Alwal. Sahaastrajit Exports And Imports (Opc) Private Limited is mostly just me and a couple of helpers. Since it's an OPC, it’s a one-person show for the most part, which means I handle everything from the paperwork to the actual shipping logistics. It can get pretty overwhelming some days. I started this because I wanted to work for myself and I had some good contacts in the export world. Old Alwal is a decent place for an office because it’s not as expensive as the city center, but it’s still accessible enough. My desk is usually covered in forms and export permits. I deal with all kinds of items, whatever the clients are looking for. It’s not a polished business with a receptionist or a coffee machine. It’s just a workspace where things get done. Sometimes I have to stay late to talk to people in different time zones. It's a lot of grit and waiting for emails to come back. I don't have a big mission statement or anything. I just want to make sure my customers get what they paid for without too much trouble. Sometimes the local couriers get lost finding the street, but we usually sort it out. It’s a simple operation, honestly, and that’s how I prefer to keep it while the business grows.
