P.Murali & Co., Chartered Accountants

The office is located at 28 Staff Quarters inside the ESIC Model Hospital area in Nacharam. It is a bit of a strange place for a chartered accountant firm, but P.Murali & Co. has been here for some time. Being inside the hospital grounds means things are usually organized, though it can get crowded near the gates during the day. We spend most of our hours sitting at the desks with stacks of bank statements and old receipts. Hyderabad summers make the office quite warm, so we mostly keep the windows open if there is a breeze. It is just a small setup with the basics like a couple of computers, a printer that makes a lot of noise, and some heavy filing cabinets. Clients usually call ahead before they come over because finding the specific quarter can be tricky for newcomers. We don't have a big reception area or anything fancy. Usually, someone is just sitting there typing away or talking on the phone about some audit issue. The days are long when the filing deadlines get close, and we end up eating lunch at our desks most of the time. It is a quiet kind of work that requires a lot of patience. We just try to get through the files one by one and keep everything in order. It is not glamorous, but it is what we do here in this corner of Nacharam every day. We enjoy the routine of it.
