Our firm is located in the Prasanna Excellency Apartments, specifically in room 306. It’s in Aditya Nagar, which is over by Dr A S Rao Nagar in Hyderabad. Since we’re in an apartment building, the office has a bit of a homey feel to it, even though it’s full of calculators and ledger books. You can often hear the sounds of the neighbors or people walking in the hallway. We’ve been here for a while, and the shelves are pretty much packed with client files from over the years. The lighting isn't the best, but we make do with some desk lamps. We spend our hours doing the usual chartered accountant tasks, like checking bank reconciliations and preparing balance sheets. It’s slow, careful work that requires a lot of sitting still. Sometimes we get a bit distracted by the birds on the balcony or the noise from the street below. We don't have a big corporate culture here. It’s just a few of us working together, sharing the same printer and complaining when the toner runs out. Clients usually just drop by and sit in the extra chair by the desk to talk through their papers. We keep things pretty informal. There’s no dress code really, just whatever is comfortable for a long day of staring at numbers. When the clock hits five or six, we pack up our bags, lock the door, and head out like everyone else in the building. It’s a quiet, practical way to run a business.
