Our setup is over in the IDA CIE Expansion area in Gandhinagar, specifically at Plot No 26/9A. We are up on the third floor. Since it’s an industrial area, the surroundings are a bit grey and full of factories and workshops. It’s not the most scenic place, but it is where all the real manufacturing happens. The sounds of machinery from the neighboring units are pretty constant throughout the day. Inside our space, it’s mostly the sound of the sewing machines and people talking over the noise. We handle the bulk of our work for Dreamsrock Garments Private Limited here. It gets quite warm in the afternoons, especially being on the third floor, so we have the big industrial fans going all the time. Our desks are usually covered in patterns, thread, and scraps of cloth. It is a very hands-on kind of place. We don't spend much time on fancy presentations; we are usually too busy checking the stitching or counting the stock for the next shipment. The elevators can be a bit temperamental, so we’ve gotten used to taking the stairs when we’re in a hurry. Gandhinagar has a very different feel than the rest of Hyderabad, much more focused on getting things built and moved. We fit right in with that. It’s just a group of us working hard to get the garments ready each day.
