Bhavani Mini Oil Mill

Down on Vegetable Market Road, you’ll find our little mill. The address is H No 7 2 126. Being near the market means it’s always busy around here, especially in the early mornings when the vendors arrive. You can usually smell the oil long before you see the sign for Bhavani Mini Oil Mill. It’s a small place, hence the name, but we stay busy. The machines are old but they still run fine as long as we keep them greased and maintained. There’s usually a thin layer of dust from the seeds, and the floor can get a bit slick if we aren’t careful. We get all sorts of people coming in, some with their own seeds to grind and others just looking to buy what we have ready in the containers. It’s a loud environment with the crushers running constantly. We have to shout a bit to be heard over the noise. It’s hard work, and by the end of the day, our clothes usually have a few spots on them. We don't mind. It’s work and it keeps the local people coming back. The road outside is often blocked by carts and trucks, so getting in and out can be a bit of a challenge sometimes. We just take it as it comes. Sometimes the supply of seeds is short, so we have to wait, but usually, we are humming along just fine. It’s a simple life at the mill.
