Rajashree Studio

You can find Rajashree Studio at 11-149/2 in Bharathnagar, right here in Gajwel. We have been taking photos for the people around here for a long time now. It is a simple studio setup. We have a few backdrops that are getting a bit old, some lights that we have to move around by hand, and a couple of cameras that have seen a lot of use. Most of our work is for weddings or for people who just need a quick photo for their ID cards or government forms. During the wedding season, it gets very crowded in here with families coming in all dressed up in their best clothes. We try to get them to stand still and smile for a few minutes, which can be pretty hard when there are little kids running around the shop. We also do some outdoor shoots nearby if the weather is good and the light is right. Gajwel has changed a lot since we first opened our doors, but we are still in the same spot doing the same thing. We don't use a lot of fancy digital tricks or heavy editing. We just try to get the lighting right so people look like themselves. Sometimes people feel a bit shy or stiff in front of the camera, so we have to talk to them for a while to make them feel okay before we take the shot. The shop is a bit small and we have pictures of old customers on the walls.
