Narasimha Engineering Works

Out here in Phase III of the BHEL industrial area in Ramachandrapuram, everything is about heavy industry. Narasimha Engineering Works is tucked away at B-38. It’s a busy part of Medak, and you can hear the sounds of big plants running in the distance. Our shop is full of lathes and heavy tools. We do a lot of fabrication and repair work that people in the industrial estate need. The walls are a bit stained from years of grease and smoke. We don’t really have a fancy reception area; you just walk in and find someone near the machines. Usually, we are busy with a piece of steel that needs precise cutting. Telangana summers are tough, so we have a few big pedestal fans that mostly just move the hot air around. We’ve been in this spot for a while, and the locals know the blue gate. There is always a pile of scrap metal in the corner waiting to be cleared out. We handle the paperwork on an old wooden table that’s seen better days. When a big order comes in, the whole place feels even smaller with all the raw material lying around. We just focus on the job at hand and try to get the dimensions right on the first try. It is honest work and it keeps us busy. Sometimes the power goes out for an hour, and we just use that time to clean the tools.
