Mana Gromor Supermarket

This supermarket is at 5-89 in the Narayankhed area of Medak. It’s a place where we are always busy stocking the shelves and talking to the local people who come in for their daily needs. Mana Gromor is not like those giant malls in the city. It feels more like a part of the neighborhood. We spend our mornings opening up the crates and making sure the rice, dals, and other items are ready for the customers. Sometimes the shop gets really crowded in the evenings when everyone is coming home from work. We have to move fast to keep the lines from getting too long. It’s a lot of standing on your feet and lifting heavy bags of grain. The building is simple, and we try to keep it clean, though the floor gets dusty with all the foot traffic. We know many of the people who shop here by name. We don’t have a mission statement or any of that. We just want to make sure the shelves aren't empty when someone needs sugar or oil. In Medak, things move at a certain pace, and we just follow that. Dealing with the suppliers is another part of the job that takes up our time. It’s just a regular local store where we work hard to keep the community fed. We close the shutters late and do it all again the next morning without much fuss. It is a steady way to spend the days.
