Mahadev Fabrications

Over at 3-41 in Gokulnagr, you'll find Mahadev Fabrications. It’s basically a big yard and a workshop. We do a lot of welding and cutting metal. You can see the sparks from the street when we're really busy. We have stacks of iron rods and sheets leaning against the walls. It’s not the cleanest place, but that’s because we’re actually working. My hands are usually covered in black soot by ten in the morning. We make gates, window grills, and all sorts of steel structures. People from Gokulnagr walk by and wave. We’ve been at this spot for a while now. The equipment is old but it still works fine. We don't have a computer in the shop, just a notepad where we draw the designs for the customers. It’s a lot of heavy lifting. When it rains, we have to move everything under the tin roof. The sound of the rain on that metal is so loud you can’t hear yourself think. We don't have a sales team. If someone wants something, they just come in and talk to us. We tell them how long it will take and what the cost of the metal is. It’s straightforward. We take a lunch break under the neem tree if the weather is okay. Then it’s back to the grinding and the heat until the sun goes down.
