Khaliq Bilal Water Supplies

The business is set up over at Survey Number 241 and 326. It’s not your typical office space. Most of the time, we are dealing with tankers and heavy pipes out in the open. The ground stays pretty damp because of the nature of the work. You can hear the engines running from quite a distance away. Khaliq and Bilal started this because the local area really needed a steady supply. We don’t spend much time sitting behind desks. Instead, we are out checking the levels and making sure the trucks are moving on schedule. It gets pretty loud when everything is running at once. We have some sheds for the equipment, but mostly it's an outdoor operation. The sun beats down on the survey plots all day long. We carry big sets of keys and clipboards that have seen better days. It’s hard work, and your clothes usually end up dusty or wet by the end of the shift. People call us up when they are in a pinch, and we do what we can to get the water to them. It isn’t glamorous, and there is always something that needs fixing or a pump that’s acting up. We just stay focused on the tasks at hand. There’s a lot of back and forth between the two survey numbers throughout the day. We’ve got a small tea stall nearby where we take breaks when things quiet down for a minute.
