Jaagruthi Supermarket

You can find Jaagruthi Supermarket at 4-56 in Vandanapuri Colony, which is part of Ramachandra Puram. Even though we call it a supermarket, it still feels very much like a local neighborhood store. We have a bit more space than the smaller kirana shops, so we can keep more variety on the racks. Vandanapuri Colony is a nice place, and we see a lot of the same families every single week. The floor is tiled, but it’s got its share of marks from the carts and all the foot traffic over the years. We spend our mornings checking the fresh arrivals and making sure the prices are marked correctly on the shelves. It’s a bit of a maze inside with all the different sections, but most people know exactly where their favorite items are kept. The staff is just a few of us from the local area. We stay busy with restocking and helping people find things they can't see right away. Ramachandra Puram can get quite busy, but inside the colony, things are a bit more relaxed. We don't use any big marketing tricks. We just keep the lights on and try to have the items people are looking for, whether it's household cleaners or stuff for the kitchen. It’s hard work, especially on the weekends when everyone comes in at once, but we just keep going and do our part for the people living in this community.
