Ganga Kaveri Seeds is spread across several plots at Sy No: 45, 47, 48, and 49 in Kodakandla village. It is a quiet place in the Gajwel area, surrounded by fields and open sky. We spend most of our time dealing with sacks of seeds and talking to the local farmers. Our office is just a simple building with some old wooden furniture and stacks of ledgers. We don't use many computers because we prefer writing things down by hand. The seasons really run our lives here. When it’s time for sowing, the whole place is buzzing with activity and trucks are moving in and out all day. In the off-season, things slow down and we spend our time checking the stock and maintaining the sheds. We aren't city people. We like the smell of the earth and the way the village feels. Most of the people who work here live just a few minutes away. We don't have a big marketing plan or anything like that. We just provide seeds to the people who need them and hope for good rains. Sometimes the crop isn't what we expected, and we have to figure out why. It is a lot of trial and error and years of experience. We take our time with things and don't rush. It is a practical life, and we are happy to be part of the farming community here in Kodakandla.
