Our unit is focused on bio-pharma work, which means everything inside has to be kept very clean and orderly. We wear our lab coats and follow the same routine every morning. It’s a lot of checking gauges and making sure the temperature in the storage areas is exactly where it needs to be. The sun in Medak can be really harsh, so we are glad for the thick walls of the building. Most of our staff commutes from nearby towns, and we all meet up in the small canteen area for tea before the afternoon shift. We don't really do much marketing or worry about how the place looks from the outside; it’s all about what happens in the lab and the production rooms. Sometimes we have to stay late to finish a batch or wait for a shipment to arrive. It’s steady work that requires a lot of attention to detail and patience. We just take it one day at a time, making sure the records are filled out and the equipment is cleaned before we leave for the evening. It is a quiet but very busy place.
