Deshabhakthi Manamma

This is just a small place on Shivalayam Street in Narsapur. If you look for house number 14-79 you will find us. It’s a narrow street and the temple is nearby so we hear the bells a lot. We do a bit of everything here. People call the cell number 7893217200 to ask if we are open or if we have certain things. It started out very small and it’s still pretty small. We don't have a big sign outside. Just the door. We spend our days talking to the neighbors and helping out whoever comes by. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded in the front room. We have a few chairs for people to sit while they wait. Narsapur is a nice town and everyone knows everyone else. My daughter helps me with the paperwork because my eyes aren't what they used to be. We keep a notebook for the daily accounts. It’s not a complicated setup. We just try to be useful to the people living on this street. Some days we close early if there is a festival or a wedding in the family. Life moves at a slow pace here. We don't use computers much. Just the phone and the paper. It feels right to do things this way without too much fuss or extra noise. We have been here for a long time and the building shows its age, but it works for us.
