Deccan Leather Ltd

We are out here at 25 Phase 1 in the Ida Patancheru area. If you know this part of town, you know it gets pretty busy with all the trucks and the dust from the road. Deccan Leather Ltd has been sitting in this spot for a good while now. Most days start early before the sun gets too high, getting the gates open and checking on the stock that came in the night before. It’s mostly leather work here, so there is always that specific smell of tanned hides and a bit of machinery oil hanging in the air. The building itself isn't anything fancy, just a solid place where the work gets done. We have a few guys who have been with us since the beginning, and they know the machines better than anyone. Sometimes the power cuts out for a bit, which is just how things go around here, so we just take a break and have some tea near the entrance. Patancheru is an industrial hub, so there’s always noise from the neighbors, but you get used to it after a week or so. We don't really do much in the way of big signs or anything. People who need to find us usually know where Phase 1 is. It’s a lot of manual work, moving rolls of leather around and making sure the cutting is right. By the time evening rolls around, everyone is pretty tired, but the floor is cleared for the next day.
