Bandi Rathnamma

It is quiet here in Edulapally today. I am sitting near Hno 2-95 thinking about how many years have passed since we first started. Bandi Rathnamma isn't just a name on a paper, it's our life here in the Jarasangam district. The dust on the road gets everywhere when the trucks go by, but mostly it is just us and the local folks. We don't have a big fancy office with glass walls or anything like that. It is just a regular place where we get our work done. Sometimes people come by asking for directions and we point them the right way. The weather has been hot lately, making the shade under the porch the best place to be during the afternoon break. We don't really do much talking about ourselves because everyone around here already knows what we do. It’s about getting up, handling the tasks for the day, and making sure things are in order before the sun goes down. Most days are the same, but that is fine with us. We like the routine of it. You won’t find any big signs or flashing lights. If you are looking for us, you just look for the house number and you’ll see someone working or sitting near the doorway. It’s just a simple life in this part of the district and we wouldn't have it any other way. We just keep our heads down and do the work that needs doing.
