Bandela Santhamma

Bandela Santhamma is located at house number 2-35 in Jangrai village. This is near the Suraram post office in the Shankarampet Mandal. Being in Telangana, we get some very hot days, especially in the middle of the year. We have been here for a long time and the building has seen a lot of seasons. It is not a modern office with air conditioning. We just use fans and keep the doors open for a breeze. People from the village know the way here without needing a map. We do not have a lot of fancy equipment or tools. Most of what we do is straightforward and depends on our own effort. Sometimes we have to wait for supplies to come from the bigger towns, which can take a few days. We do not get upset about it, we just find other things to occupy our time. The community in Shankarampet is very close-knit. If someone is having a hard time, the neighbors usually know. We try to be a part of that and help out where we can. It is just the way things are done in a place like Jangrai. We do not have any mission statements or goals written on the wall. We just want to finish the work we started and have a quiet night. It is a basic life but it is an honest one.
