Tanta Gatha Women Weaver Producer Company Limited is based out in the Chuliaposhi area. We are located at Ms. Bindu Vinodhan’s place, which is near Patpur and Udala. It’s a bit out of the way if you’re coming from the main town, but it’s where we do all our weaving. We are a group of women who decided to work together as a producer company. It isn't a high-tech operation with machines doing all the work. Most of what we do is by hand, the old-fashioned way. The building we use is just a regular house really, nothing like a factory you’d see in a big city. We spend our days at the looms, making sure the patterns come out okay. Sometimes the threads break or we run out of a certain color, and we just have to deal with it. It’s a very manual process and it takes time. We don't have a marketing team or a fancy office with air conditioning. We just sit together, talk, and work. Being in a place like Udala means things move a bit slower, and we’re okay with that. We just want to make sure the work is there for the women in our group. It’s about keeping the craft going and having something of our own. We don’t make a big fuss about what we do. It’s just our daily life, and we try to keep it simple.
