Site Engineer

I am a site engineer based out of Manatri in the Mayurbhanj district. I stay with K.C. Puthal. This part of Orissa is where I do most of my work. The post office and the village are both called Manatri. It’s a quiet area compared to the big cities, but there is still plenty of engineering work to be done. My pincode is 757017. I spend my days traveling to different project sites around the district. It’s a lot of field work, which I prefer over sitting in an office all day. I don’t have a big staff or a fancy building. It’s just me and whatever tools I need for the day. Sometimes I have to travel quite a bit to reach a remote site. Mayurbhanj has its own challenges with the landscape, but I’ve learned how to handle it over the years. I’ve been doing this for a long time now. People in the village know where to find me if they have a project. I don't really use any marketing or anything like that. Word of mouth is how I get most of my jobs. It’s a simple way of working. I just make sure the structures are safe and the work is moving along as it should. It’s a decent living. I’ve always liked seeing how things are put together. Living in a small place like Manatri means you know your neighbors and they know you can get the job done right without any fuss.
