Mkr Fly Ash Brick

Running Mkr Fly Ash Brick out here in Baripada is definitely a full-time job. We are located right near the Shiva Mandir in Kuchei, so it is usually pretty easy for people to find us. You can hear the temple bells sometimes while we are working, which is nice. Fly ash is different to work with than the old red clay bricks. It took us a bit to get the mix exactly right, but we have been doing it long enough now that it is just second nature. My hands are usually gray by the time lunch rolls around. We do not do much in the way of advertising. Most of our work comes from people just seeing the trucks go by or knowing someone who used our bricks for their foundation. The post office is nearby too, so it is a fairly busy little spot. We just focus on keeping the machines running and making sure the bricks are solid. It is dusty work, and in the summer, the sun really beats down on the yard. We do not have any big corporate structure or anything like that. It is just us and a few guys from the local area who help with the loading and the molding. Sometimes the orders get a bit backed up, but we always manage to catch up eventually. That is just the way it goes in this kind of business. We just do our best.
