Gian P Mathur & Associates , New Delhi

This setup is a bit unique because while the name says Gian P Mathur & Associates, New Delhi, we are actually operating from At/Post Sansa, via Jugpura in the Mayurbhanj district of Orissa. It is quite a long way from the big city of Delhi. The environment here is very rural and green, which is a nice change if you are used to the noise of a metropolis. Our office is more like a local outpost. It is a very simple building, and we are surrounded by a lot of open land and trees. Getting here takes some effort because you have to follow the local roads through Jugpura. We don't have any fancy office equipment or glass partitions. It is mostly just basic furniture and the essentials we need to get our work done. The mail takes a little longer to reach us out here, and we have to plan our trips into the larger towns carefully. Life is slower here, and we work according to that rhythm. Most of our interactions are with the local people from the nearby villages. We spend a lot of time on the phone or dealing with local paperwork. It is an honest place to be. We just focus on the tasks we have in front of us without any of the usual office politics or stress you find in the bigger cities. It is just quiet and practical.
