Somu Earth Movers

You can find us at number 2 in the G G Complex on G H Road. It’s a busy spot with lots of other shops around, so there’s always people coming and going. We keep our office for Somu Earth Movers here, even though the machines are usually out at different sites. The office is small and cramped because we store a lot of catalogs and spare parts in the corners. It smells a bit like diesel and old paper. We spend a lot of time on the phone, trying to coordinate where the equipment needs to be next. It’s a bit of a puzzle sometimes. My brother and I started this because we liked working with our hands. We aren't the type to sit in a fancy leather chair all day. Usually, one of us is out in the field getting our boots muddy while the other stays back to handle the customers. The G H Road area is always noisy with traffic, so we have to shout a bit to be heard. We don't have a big marketing budget or a team of experts. We just have our machines and our word. If we say we will be there, we try our best to show up on time, though sometimes traffic or a breakdown gets in the way. It’s just a regular local business trying to make a living.
