GUNAM INFRA PRIVATE LIMITED is based in a place called Kanganamuthur, which is part of the Nidur post in Mayiladuthurai. It’s a bit of a rural setting, which we actually prefer. The office is located near the fields, and it’s a lot quieter than being in the middle of a big city. We handle infrastructure projects, so we are often out on sites rather than sitting behind desks all day. When we are in the office, it’s usually to catch up on paperwork or talk to the site supervisors. The building is simple and doesn't have air conditioning in every room, so we use fans to keep cool. There’s a lot of dust because of the local roads, but that’s part of the job. Most of the people working here have been with us since the start. We know the local geography very well. We don't have a website that gets updated every day; we mostly talk to people face-to-face. Sometimes we have meetings under the shade of the trees outside if the weather is nice. It’s a very grounded way of doing business. We deal with pipes, roads, and concrete, so we don't mind getting our hands dirty. It’s just how things are done in this part of Tamil Nadu. We just focus on the tasks we have each day and try to get home before it gets too dark.
