Cengrs Geotechnica has a base out in Village Sandhan, which is part of the Mawana area in Meerut. Being in a village is a lot different than being in the city. The pace is slower, and you get to know everyone who lives nearby. Our office is easy to spot if you are looking for the post office in the area. The pin code is 250401. We do a lot of work in the fields around here, mostly testing the earth before people start building things. It’s a lot of manual labor and being outside in the sun. In the summers, it gets really hot, so we try to start our site visits early in the morning. Our staff mostly comes from the nearby villages too. We aren't a big corporate firm with shiny glass walls and fancy suits. It’s just a simple office where we keep our files and equipment. Sometimes the power goes out, or the road gets muddy after a big rain, but that’s just part of living in rural Uttar Pradesh. We take things as they come and focus on getting the measurements right. It is a quiet life out here in Mawana, but the work is steady. We appreciate the space we have here to store our heavy machinery. It wouldn't be easy to do this in a crowded city center. We like the fresh air and the local people.
