Kottayil Hardwares

Our shop, Kottayil Hardwares, is at 2 A on the Kochalummoodu to Pandalam Road. We are based right in Vettiyar. It is a local hardware store where you can find all sorts of small bits and pieces for repairs. We do not have those extremely long aisles like the big department chains do. Instead, we have wooden shelves piled high with stuff we have collected and sorted over time. It might look like a bit of a mess to some people, but we know exactly where the nails, bolts, and hammers are kept. Being on the main road to Pandalam means we get a lot of people stopping by on their way through the area. Vettiyar is a nice enough place to spend the day working. We have been at 2 A for quite some time now. We are not trying to be the biggest store out there in the world. We just want to have what the neighbors need when something breaks at their home. It is a very hands-on kind of place to work. You will not find anyone wearing a tie here. We are usually moving heavy boxes around or checking the stock. Sometimes we sit on the porch for a minute when the road gets quiet. Kottayil Hardwares is a simple business. We do not do any fancy advertising or promotions. People just know we are here on the main road.
