Jagannath Ambedkar Foundation

The Jagannath Ambedkar Foundation is located in Maunathbhanjan, specifically in the Nasirpur area of Mau. You can find us at the residence of Smt. Davi in Kallapur, Banpokhara. This is a very local part of town with narrow streets and a lot of houses close together. We don't have a storefront or a big office building. Instead, we work out of this house, which makes the whole thing feel much more personal. Maunathbhanjan has its own pace, and we definitely follow that here. The foundation focuses on things that matter to the people around us. Most days, there are a few of us sitting in the front room, going through documents or talking about upcoming plans. It’s a humble space. We have some old wooden furniture and stacks of paper everywhere. Outside, you can hear the sounds of the neighborhood, like the local vendors and the cows walking by. It is not a polished environment by any means. We deal with a lot of manual records and people coming in person because that’s how things work best in this part of Mau. The 221603 area is where we’ve put down our roots. We aren't trying to be some big national organization; we just focus on what’s right in front of us in Nasirpur and Kallapur. It’s practical work done by people who actually live here and understand the local way of life.
