J P Masala

J P Masala is located in Rajendara Nagar Colony, specifically near the SBI Bank in Gurhar. We share a bit of space near the Jaiswal Provision shop. It’s a local setup where we spend most of our time grinding and mixing masalas. You can usually find us there early in the morning when it’s still cool enough to work. We aren't a big factory or anything like that. It’s just us and our machines. We take the raw seeds and pods and turn them into the powders people use for their cooking every day. Sometimes the grinding machines get loud, but the neighbors are used to it by now. We try to be helpful when people come by looking for something specific. Most of the work is just manual labor, lifting heavy sacks and making sure the jars are full. It's dusty work, and you end up smelling like cumin or coriander for the rest of the day. My hands are usually stained with turmeric, but that's just part of the job. We don't have a website or anything fancy; people just know we're here by the bank. We just want to make sure the spice mixes we put out are what they’re supposed to be. It's a basic business, and we like it that way. We just do our bit and go home at the end of the day. It is simple work but it is our living.
