Govinda Emporium

You can find us in Loi Bazar, right in the heart of Vrindavan. If you've ever walked through Loi Bazar, you know it’s a very spiritual and busy place. There are monkeys on the roofs and pilgrims everywhere. Our shop, Govinda Emporium, is a simple place where we sell what people need. It’s not very big, but we pack a lot into it. The street outside is narrow, so it’s always a bit of a squeeze when people are passing by. We start our day early, usually after the morning prayers are done. The smell of incense from the nearby temples often drifts inside. We don’t use any fancy sales tactics. We just show people what we have, and if they like it, they buy it. Sometimes we sit out front on a small bench and watch the crowds go by while we wait for the next person to come in. The shop has been in the family for a long time, and the floor is worn down from all the years of people walking on it. We don't have air conditioning, just a ceiling fan that wobbles a bit when it's on high. It’s a traditional way of doing things, and we don’t see much reason to change it. We just want to provide honest goods to the folks visiting the holy town. It is a peaceful life despite the constant noise of the marketplace.
