Sangam Creation

Sangam Creation is our little shop at 98-C in the Sangam Complex. We are situated right at Krishna Nagar Chowk, so there is always a lot of activity outside our door. We do a lot of sewing and making clothes here. The shop is filled with rolls of fabric and threads of every color you can think of. We don't have a big fancy storefront with lights. It’s just a simple door and a sign. Most of our customers are people from the neighborhood who have been coming to us for years. We do a lot of the work ourselves on the machines in the back. It can get pretty loud when three or four machines are running at the same time. We don't follow the latest big fashion trends from the city; we just make what people ask for. Sometimes a job takes longer than we thought it would because a sleeve or a collar is being difficult, but we just keep at it until it looks right. We aren't trying to become a huge brand. We just like having our own place in the complex where we can do our work. Krishna Nagar is a busy place and we feel right at home in the middle of it. If you come by, you’ll probably see us with a measuring tape around our necks and scraps of cloth on our shirts. That’s just how it goes for us. We stay open until the market closes most nights.
