Jal Book Depot

Jal Book Depot sits right here at Fc-35 in Chandanvan Colony - 1. Since the shop is near the Agra Delhi Bye Pass, there is always some traffic noise humming in the background. The shelves are quite crowded with all sorts of things. We keep books for school kids, college students, and some novels for people who just like to read. It started out as a small shop and has mostly stayed that way. A lot of the students from the nearby streets come in for pens or notebooks before their exams start. When the new school session begins, the place gets packed. Boxes are piled everywhere and everyone is asking for different book editions at once. Keeping track of it all is a challenge, and sometimes a book gets buried under a stack. We just tidy things up and keep going. The rest of the colony is usually pretty quiet. Being near the bypass means travelers often pull over to see what we have. There is nothing fancy about this place. It is just a local shop with plenty of paper and ink. On slow days, sitting on the stools outside is a nice break. We have been at this same spot for years now. Routine is part of the life here, from ordering books to dusting the shelves. Paper attracts a lot of dust, so that is a never-ending task. It is just a couple of us making sure people find what they need. We stay open until evening every single day.
