Jai Gangey Ornaments

If you’ve ever been to Chowk Bazaar, you know how crowded Gali Durga Chand can get during the day. That’s exactly where we are located. It’s a narrow lane, and on festival days, you can barely walk through the crowd. Our shop isn't very large, but we’ve got cases lined up with all sorts of ornaments and trinkets. We spend the whole day under these bright lights that make everything sparkle, even when the floor is a bit dusty from the busy street outside. People come in to look at things for weddings or just small gifts for their families. We know most of the other shopkeepers around here, so there’s a lot of shouting and talking back and forth across the narrow lane. It’s a noisy, lively place to work. Sometimes we sit in the back room to work on a specific piece, trying to fix a clasp or polish something up for a customer. We don’t have a website or anything like that; we just rely on people walking by or folks who have been coming to this gali for many years. It’s an old-fashioned way of doing business. The fans hum all day long to keep the heat away, and we keep a close eye on the door. It’s a lot of standing and talking to customers who like to haggle over the price of silver. We just do our best to stay organized in the middle of all the bazaar chaos.
