Fresh Chicory

Fresh Chicory is our place out in Village Beethana. We are right by the post office in Iglas. If you are coming from Mathura, look for the RM Dairy. We are very close to that. It’s a rural setting, so things are pretty quiet compared to the city. We spend most of our time out on the land or in the processing shed. It’s a family operation, mostly. We don't have any fancy offices or a front desk. Just a gate and the workspace. The air usually smells like the dairy or the fields. We’ve been doing this for a long time. People in the village know us well. It’s not a complicated business. We grow and handle the chicory as the seasons change. The road can get really muddy when it rains, so that's always a challenge. We don't do much in terms of advertising. Most people just know where we are. We start our days early when the sun comes up. It’s hard work, but it’s what we know. Mathura is where we go for bigger supplies, but Beethana is home. We like the pace of life here. No one is in a rush to prove anything. We just want to make sure the chicory is good and the work is done. It’s a simple, honest life and we wouldn’t have it any other way. It is just us doing what we have always done for years.
