Dhirendra Krishn Jankalyan Foundation

Dhirendra Krishn Jankalyan Foundation is located in Nai Basti, within the Kupa Bali area of Sadabad. We operate out of a space shared with Subhash Chandra Upadhyay. It’s a very local, neighborhood-oriented setup. Nai Basti is a busy place with lots of homes and small shops nearby. You can hear the sounds of the neighborhood all day long—people talking, bikes passing by, and the occasional loudspeaker from a nearby temple. Our office isn't anything special to look at. It’s just a couple of rooms with some basic furniture and a lot of files. We focus on public welfare for the folks around here. We spend a lot of time sitting with visitors and listening to their problems. Sometimes the power cuts out and we just sit in the shade of the doorway to continue our conversations. We don't have a big marketing team or a fancy website. Most people find out about us by word of mouth. We use old-fashioned registers to keep track of things alongside a basic computer. It’s a bit messy sometimes, with papers piled up on the desks, but we know where everything is. We are just trying to do some good in Sadabad without making a big fuss about it. Our team is small, mostly just friends who wanted to help out. It’s hard work, but it feels right to be doing it here. We just try to help whoever walks in.
