We operate out of Home No-223/121 in Jyoti Nagar, which is part of the Krish Nagar area in Mathura. Being near Mandi Chorha means we are right in the thick of things. It’s a residential neighborhood, so we have to be mindful of the noise and the neighbors. Our setup is pretty simple. We use a few rooms for processing and packing our food products. It’s a real family-style operation, with everyone chipping in where they can. The kitchen area is where most of the work happens, and it always smells like spices and roasted grains. We have bags of ingredients stacked in the hallway sometimes when a big shipment comes in. It’s not a giant factory, so we have to be very organized with the little space we have. The street outside is usually busy with scooters and people walking to the mandi. We spend our evenings sealing packets and labeling them by hand. It’s a lot of manual work, but we prefer it that way because we can see exactly what is going into every bag. Sometimes the neighborhood kids come by to see what we are making. We don’t have a big storefront, so most people just know us through word of mouth. It’s a bit of a squeeze when we have a lot of orders to finish, but we manage to get everything done eventually. It feels good to work in the heart of the community.
