We are based over at 5/70 in the Anjali Vihar Colony in Farah. Astin Footwear Pvt. Ltd. is a place where we focus on shoes and sandals. It’s located in a residential colony, so it’s not like being in a big industrial park with lots of noise. We have a lot of racks and boxes stacked up everywhere inside. The smell of leather and rubber is pretty strong when you first walk in. We spend our time checking the quality of the soles and making sure the pairs match up right before they go out. It’s a small team of us here. We don't have a big showroom with mirrors and lights. It’s more of a workspace where we get the orders ready. Sometimes the delivery trucks have a hard time navigating the narrow colony streets, but they usually make it through. We’ve been in Farah for a good while. We just stick to our routine of checking inventory and packing boxes. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we do. We usually have the radio playing in the background while we work to keep things interesting. Most people in the colony know us as the shoe people. We just keep our heads down and do the work day in and day out without much fuss. It's just a steady business for us.
