Agrawal Cement Store

Our family runs Agrawal Cement Store out in Neemgaon Village, which is part of the Govardhan Block in Mathura District. We are situated right across from the Syndicate Bank, and the Daan Ghati Mandir is also quite close to us on the road. It’s a busy spot, especially with all the people coming for the temple. We mostly deal in cement, as the name says, but we also keep other bits and pieces for construction. The shop is often dusty because of all the cement bags, but that’s just part of the job. We’ve been serving the local builders and homeowners around here for a good many years. People usually come to us because we are right on the way and they know we keep a fresh stock. We don’t have a fancy way of doing things; we just write down the orders and help load the bags into the carts or tractors. Sometimes the weather makes things difficult, like when the rains start and we have to make sure everything stays dry. We know the roads around here like the back of our hands. It’s a simple life, working with the local community and seeing the new buildings go up in the village. We aren’t big on advertising; we just rely on our neighbors knowing we’re here. If you are passing by the bank or the mandir, you’ll see our stacks of cement waiting for the next job.
