Nagalla Sangamma [tractor]

Out here in Sirpura, things move a bit slower than in the big city. Nagalla Sangamma is located at H-No 7-7 in the village. We are part of the Marpally mandal in the K. V Rangaraeddy district. It’s a place where you can see the fields stretching out for quite a way. We deal with tractors and farm machinery, so there is always a bit of grease and oil around the place. The office is just a simple room with a couple of chairs and a sturdy table. We don't have a computer that works all the time, so we do a lot of things by hand in big ledger books. It gets very hot during the day, and we usually have the door wide open to catch any breeze that comes through. You can hear the goats and the occasional tractor driving past on the road. People from the village stop by just to say hello or to ask about a part they need. It is an honest way to make a living, even if it’s hard work. We don't have any fancy marketing materials or big promises. We just know our tractors and we know our neighbors. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, but we haven't found the time for it yet. When the rain comes, the sound on the metal roof is so loud we can't even hear each other talk. We just sit there and wait for it to pass so we can get back to the work.
