Manikanta Bricks

We are located at 9-653 in Madhavi Nagar Colony, over in Peda Yachavaram. The yard is tucked away in the colony, so it’s a bit quieter than being right on a main highway. We have rows and rows of bricks sitting out to dry. It takes a lot of patience to do this work right. You have to watch the weather constantly because a sudden rain can ruin a whole batch of wet bricks. We spend a lot of time moving the stacks around and loading up the trolleys. It’s not the kind of job you do if you want to stay clean. By the end of the shift, we are usually covered in red dust from head to toe. We don't have a fancy website or a sales team. If someone needs bricks, they usually just walk into the yard and talk to whoever is operating the machine. We try to make sure they all come out about the same, but every batch has its own character. The neighbors in Madhavi Nagar Colony are mostly used to the trucks coming in and out by now. It’s a local business through and through. We started with just a small patch of land and grew it bit by bit over the years. It’s kind of nice seeing that many of the houses around here were built using the stuff we made right here in this yard. It keeps us going.
