Ganesh Ganesh

This is Ganesh Ganesh and I operate out of Devi Press. We are at 14/1 on Pondy Road in Marakkanam. It is part of the Tindivanam taluk in the Villupuram district. If you are coming down the main road, you will probably see the sign for the press. It is an old building, nothing modern about it. The walls could use some paint but the equipment inside works fine. I spend most of my time here dealing with the daily grind. It gets quite loud when the machines are running so I usually do my thinking early in the morning before the noise starts. Marakkanam is a small place but we get people coming in from the nearby villages. I have been here for years. I know most of the shopkeepers on this street. We trade stories and complain about the heat sometimes. My work is not something I talk about in a fancy way. I just get it done. I do not have a receptionist or anyone like that. You just walk in and find me at the back. It is a practical setup for the kind of work I do. I like being on Pondy Road because it keeps me connected to what is happening. People are always passing by on their way to the coast or back to town. It is a busy life but I am used to it now.
