Swadeshi Bhandar

Swadeshi Bhandar is our little shop located on Stadium Road, right near the Iron Bridge. We have been here for a good number of years now, serving the people who live around this part of town. It is not a big place, but we try to keep all the things you might need for your home. Usually, the mornings are quite busy when everyone is out doing their shopping, and you can hear the traffic coming off the bridge. We don't have any fancy displays or anything like that. It is just shelves filled with groceries and household items. Sometimes the place gets a bit cramped when a new shipment arrives, and we are still moving boxes around. My brother and I run the place most days. We know most of our customers by their names because they have been coming here since we first opened the doors. The Iron Bridge is the best landmark to find us if you are new to the area. If you walk past the stadium and keep going toward the water, you will see our sign. It is a bit faded from the sun, but it is still there. We don't do any big advertising or things like that. People just know we are here and that we have what they need. We just try to keep the prices fair and the stock fresh. It is a simple way to make a living and we like being part of the neighborhood.
